I find three ownable moments, the first sight on the website, whilst reading and after reading.
The first sight can arouse readers’ curiosity, likes and dislikes. Use special picture to make users feel interaction. And this picture can decide the style of the website in users’ mind.
While reading, readers sometimes feel tired of so much texts. Visual explanation will have a good effect.
After reading, readers often just shut down the website. Make some Easter eggs to impress the readers.
All of the personal design should suit the style. For me, I’d like my website to suit my style, which is the balance of cute and cool. Moreover, as the publisher, me, is a cat lover, I will use cat as a character in the website, designing some interaction with my audience.
