PRESENT WORK OF PRACTITIONER

Stefan Gates (19 September 1967 – ) is a British television presenter, author, broadcaster and live performer. He has written books on food, cooking and science. He has presented over 20 television series,mainly for the BBC, including Cooking in Dangerous Places, about unusual foods from more dangerous and difficult parts of the world. He has developed half of these TV series himself,including the CBBC children’s food adventure series Gastronuts and Incredible Edibles.

I found this book about kittens in a bookshop one day and couldn’t get enough of the bright colours, the fun illustrations and the comprehensive information about kittens.

Firstly, the book is bound in a standard lockstitch hardcover with a highly saturated orange and black high-gloss reflective stripes on a white matte paper-based cover, and letterpress printing is used to add a tactile feel to the cover. This makes it stand out from the crowd of books. In terms of colour scheme, the book uses a bright fluorescent orange as the main colour, with neutral tones such as black, white and grey, which is eye-catching and allows for better access to information from the book.

Secondly, the book gives a lot of practical information about cats, which will be of much help to those who want to get a cat as well as those who already have one. Even those who do not intend to keep a cat can get a lot of information from it if they want to learn about it. In addition, the illustrations in the book are interesting and are placed in the right places to help people understand the content better and to reduce the dullness of text-only content.

Finally, I would like to make one suggestion for the book, which I think would be more interesting if there were more ways to interact with it than what is currently available. For example, some interactive devices that allow people to feel some of the cat’s habits, or some design in the texture of the paper on the inside pages, so that people feel like they are communicating with the cat when they read hu
