Reflection and comment
By watching Tracy Ma’s insights on the creative process, and At Avatar Robot Cafe, people with disabilities remotely controlled robot avatars to wait on tables. I have a deeper understanding of some of the ideas about design, which are reflected in the Avatar Robot Café project In order to design a human-oriented concept, this design method combined with technological advancement has brought more choices to people and allowed people to see more possibilities in life. It is worth thinking about, using manpower instead of Artificial intelligence has broken the convention and saw the prospect of science fiction becoming a reality, but it also makes people start to consider more possibilities behind this.
Then through Tracy Ma’s explanation, I can more clearly realize that design is a way and a tool, and what the design presents is the facts that help people organize and understand the world around them. A good visual effect will certainly attract the eye, but leaving aside the empty and gorgeous decoration, if the inner information presented is only boring and superficial, it will completely misinterpret the original intention of the design. Designing for the sake of design does not solve any problems. While having an excellent visual experience, we must focus on bringing usable information to readers and conduct multi-faceted research and thinking.
I personally get the feeling that I need to keep trying in the design and discover more possibilities. Start by collecting the original materials, conduct various experiments, try each different method of collision will produce what kind of chemical reaction, and have fun from it. In addition, we must pay attention to interaction, which is the most meaningful and effective way of communication for our design. We want to bring changes to the world, and we also look forward to seeing responses from people so that both designers and users will get more and move forward with each other.
